about

Late Music is the 8th album release by the Delta Saxophone Quartet and marks their 40th anniversary year.

Here the quartet embarks on an enchanting sonic audio journey traversing waymarkers, cul-de-sacs and crossroads mapped from four decades of creativity and exploration by one of Europe’s best known contemporary music groups.

This music covers a diverse timeline of 18 tracks inspired by meteorological seasons, poets & snow, tidal forces, film, damascene delights, tearing love, lockdowns, concluded with a sip of Dutch courage post punk Haçienda!

This anniversary release reflects on both the past and the present with a looking glass glimpse into the future. Like all good parties, this travelogue wouldn’t be complete until the mezzo soprano has spoken.
